No cooking for a while yet....

So after nearly 3 weeks of staying with friends after the flood devastation, we "moved" back home last evening. We got a pseudo kitchen set up with a microwave, mini fridge and a small camping coil burner.

Since I'm not planning on any major hard core cooking or baking any time soon, this blog may be dormant. 
Of course this does not mean I will stay away from food related posts.. maybe post on food I eat at other people's houses :p

Will continue to post updates on the house progress, and appliance shopping and other such things...

We are slowly making decisions on hiring the contractors needed to rebuild. We got our Building Permit yesterday. yay!  Our cars were taken away last week and we should be getting the $$ from insurance very soon for both. Which puts car shopping on the agenda as well.
