Good eats during The Fourth Long weekend

This post is clearly, long overdue.

R and I had a fantastic long weekend here in the Lonestar state. We travelled to Austin, San Antonio and stopped by in between at San Marcos for a bit of outlet shopping.   I got to try out some amazing southwestern cuisine at Z-Tejas, Austin. And then in San Antonio, we enjoyed some amazing pasta, wine and Tiramisu at Peasano's on the Riverwalk.

And just to keep things different,  just before we left for the drive back home, we had lunch at a British Pub. They had some really yummy vegetarian Shepard's Pie an green peas!

Just above the San Antonio Riverwalk

Red Pepper and spinach linguine with a spicy sauce and fresh jalapenos... yes it was SPICY!
Wild mushroom enchiladas with an ancho-mole cream sauce
Tiramisu to die for! The essence of vacation indulgence!

  1. Your post inspired me to make a vegetarian Shepard's pie! I also live near Dallas and love to cook when I have the time!
